SPARK And Aster DM Healthcare Join Forces To Advance Healthcare Research And Innovation In The UAE

In the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Aster DM Healthcare has entered into a master research collaboration agreement with the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK).

This partnership aims to foster innovation and research in healthcare. The signing ceremony was part of the Sharjah Next: Healthcare forum, a two-day event focused on medical research and biotechnology.

SPARK Collaborates with Aster DM Healthcare for Research

The agreement was formalised by His Excellency Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SPARK, and Ms. Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare. Her Highness Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, President and Chairperson of SPARK, along with Dr. Malathi Arshanapalai from Aster DM Healthcare, witnessed the signing.

This collaboration is a significant step in advancing joint research initiatives in healthcare technology and clinical innovation. It aims to develop sustainable solutions that will shape the future of healthcare in the region.

The partnership will focus on areas such as medical technology development, bio-innovation, artificial intelligence in diagnostics, and advanced data-driven healthcare solutions.

Aster DM Healthcare will have rights to develop and commercialise innovations from this collaboration while ensuring compliance with UAE's data protection standards.

Dr. Asma Mahmoud Fikri from SPARK highlighted the importance of linking world-class healthcare providers with their innovation ecosystem. "Aster DM Healthcare's experience in clinical excellence will bring valuable real-world perspective to our joint R&D efforts," she noted.
