The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) alongside the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD) recently convened to strategize on enhancing the upcoming Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition- ACRES. The focus was on leveraging past achievements to extend its reach both locally and internationally. This meeting, held at the SCCI headquarters, aimed at fortifying ACRES' status as a pivotal event within the regional real estate domain and its contribution to Sharjah's real estate development.

Key figures such as Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the SRERD, and Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of the SCCI, were in attendance. They were joined by Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group; Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of SCCI's Economic Relations Department, and Omar Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Director of Branches Department, SRERD.

ACRES Exhibition Plans for Future Growth

The discussions centered on ACRES' future growth opportunities, strategic visions for development, and a review of its 2024 edition's achievements. Notably, the event witnessed real estate transactions totaling AED1.4 billion from both local and international contributors. This represented a significant growth rate of 202.4 percent over the previous year and attracted around 13,000 visitors including Emiratis, residents, investors, businessmen, and representatives from various real estate institutions.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais lauded the exhibition's continuous success and its role in facilitating major real estate transactions. He highlighted that the meeting explored innovative proposals to further enhance the exhibition's impact in line with Sharjah's thriving real estate sector. "We look forward to bolstering the event's contribution to advancing the gains of the real estate sector in the emirate and enhancing its role in the GDP," Al Owais remarked.

Abdul Al Shamsi underscored the meeting's significance in reinforcing the strategic partnership between the Sharjah Chamber and SRERD. He emphasized their joint commitment to promoting "ACRES" as a leading platform for connecting decision-makers, top-tier institutions, and major investors from around the world.

The discussions also touched upon directives from the Sharjah Executive Council regarding operational strategies for evolving the exhibition and maximizing its achievements. Key areas of focus included enhancing attendee satisfaction, expanding participation from domestic and international stakeholders, diversifying display methods, and intensifying accompanying events such as workshops, training courses, and dialogue sessions aimed at increasing awareness about real estate investment and relevant laws.

This collaborative effort between SCCI and SRERD demonstrates a unified commitment to not only elevating ACRES but also to contributing significantly to Sharjah’s economic development through real estate advancements.
