Sharjah Ramadan Majlis 2024 Explores Investment's Role In Maximising Innovation

The Sharjah Ramadan Majlis 2024, under the patronage of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of American University of Sharjah, and featuring Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, recently convened to delve into how investments in various industries can foster innovation and have a significant impact in Sharjah. This gathering of business leaders, senior government officials, entrepreneurs, and change-makers focused on the theme "Innovating for Impact," reflecting Sharjah's commitment to socio-economic progress through impactful change in key sectors including sustainable infrastructure, education, and entrepreneurship.

In her welcoming address, Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi stressed the importance of purposeful action and Sharjah's dedication to human development and community welfare. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri highlighted innovation as a cornerstone for building a strong, competitive economy in the UAE, mentioning the country's economic transformation and the role of modern legislation in creating a conducive business environment.

A significant development at the Majlis was the signing of an MoU between SAEED and the Ministry of Economy to improve trademark registration services for emerging companies and entrepreneurs. This agreement is aimed at simplifying procedures and bolstering the business landscape.

Mohamed Al Musharrkh, CEO of Invest in Sharjah, discussed the role of innovation and strategic partnerships in driving Sharjah's economic growth, highlighting a promising trajectory in FDI inflows and sustainability.

The second panel discussion focused on current trends in impact investing, emphasizing the importance of purpose-driven investment and collaboration for societal benefit. The Majlis concluded by honoring strategic partners who have supported Sheraa's Centers of Excellence, acknowledging their role in Sharjah's development.
