Sharjah And Rabat Strengthen Cultural Partnership Rooted In Shared Vision For The Future
Sharjah's participation in the 30th Rabat International Publishing and Book Fair drew significant attention, showcasing its cultural prominence. Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, CEO of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), highlighted that Sharjah's growing international presence is a testament to its leadership in the Arab world. This status is attributed to the visionary guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, who emphasises investing in people and culture as key to sustainable societies.
The emirate's involvement at the fair was met with enthusiasm from both the public and cultural leaders. This interest is largely due to Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of SBA, whose dedication ensures that Sharjah's participation reflects its intellectual diversity. Her efforts reinforce Sharjah's mission to foster cultural dialogue on both Arab and global stages.

Al Ameri stated, "Culture is not a luxury, but a long-term investment in building conscious individuals who are capable of shaping their future and engaging confidently with global experiences while remaining firmly rooted in their identity." He believes culture strengthens societal ties, with enduring Arab dialogue acting as a unifying force across regions like the Levant and Maghreb.
The CEO also emphasised the strong cultural partnership between the UAE and Morocco, particularly between Sharjah and Rabat. He described this relationship as a model for advancing Arab cultural initiatives. From Rabat, he expressed confidence that culture remains a powerful foundation for achieving a sustainable Arab renaissance.
Al Ameri concluded by affirming: "The cultural partnership between the UAE and Morocco, and between Sharjah and Rabat in particular, stands as a model for advancing Arab cultural action. From Rabat today, we continue the narrative and remain convinced that culture will always be our most powerful foundation for achieving a sustainable Arab renaissance."
Sharjah’s engagement at international events like this fair underscores its commitment to promoting cultural exchange. The emirate continues to build bridges through culture, fostering understanding and collaboration across diverse communities worldwide.
