Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone Partners With Emirates NBD To Enhance Investment Opportunities For Startups

Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (SPC Free Zone) has formed a two-year strategic alliance with Emirates NBD. This collaboration aims to boost the investment benefits that have drawn over 11,700 startups worldwide to set up and grow their businesses in the area. The partnership was unveiled during the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair.

Saif Al Suwaidi, Director of SPC Free Zone, and Rohit Garg, Head of Business Banking at Emirates NBD, signed the memorandum of understanding. This collaboration is part of SPC Free Zone's ongoing efforts to offer a globally connected, tax-free platform for businesses in publishing, printing, and distribution sectors.

Al Suwaidi highlighted the partnership's goal to improve services continuously. He stated, "This strategic partnership with Emirates NBD ensures that our customers benefit from enhanced financial solutions, strengthening Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone’s position as a hub for innovation and efficiency."

The agreement provides SPC Free Zone clients with exclusive banking advantages. These include a dedicated channel at Emirates NBD for credit facilities and account openings. Additionally, banking operations will be integrated using API compliance standards to streamline services and ensure data security.

Rohit Garg emphasised the importance of this collaboration by saying, "We are proud to collaborate with Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone to provide innovative banking solutions that support their customers' business goals. This partnership reflects our commitment to developing services that create the ideal environment for business growth in the UAE."

Customer Service Initiatives

SPC Free Zone has launched several initiatives aimed at enhancing customer service. These include 24/7 support and a guarantee of opening commercial bank accounts within three business days. Such measures are intended to simplify business establishment processes and reinforce SPC Free Zone’s role as a regional hub for trade and innovation.
