NYE In Sharjah? Don't Worry, Sharjah Police Has The Perfect Plan To Ensure Smooth Celebrations
As Sharjah prepares to usher in the new year of 2025, the Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), through its General Department of Operations and Security Support, has announced a detailed traffic security plan.
This initiative is designed to ensure that the emirate remains a safe and secure place for both residents and visitors during the celebrations. The plan encompasses a multitude of security measures aimed at maintaining peace and preventing congestion in key areas of the emirate.

The strategy includes the deployment of increased security and traffic patrols across Sharjah, with special attention to important sites known for major events and celebrations.
These areas, such as Al Heera Corniche, Al Buhaira Corniche, and Khorfakkan Corniche, will see enhanced surveillance, especially during fireworks displays and other public festivities. This approach is part of a broader effort to safeguard public facilities and manage the flow of traffic on external roads efficiently.
Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, the Director-General of Operations and Security Support, highlighted the pivotal role of cutting-edge smart technologies in bolstering traffic security operations. The Sharjah Police's arsenal includes sophisticated monitoring and communication systems that are critical for the swift response to emergencies at any time of the day. This technological edge is complemented by a collaborative framework involving key strategic partners such as Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, and Rafid Vehicle Solutions Company.
In an appeal to the public, Brigadier General Dr. Al Naour urged everyone attending the celebrations to adhere to the guidance of security personnel. Following their directions and traffic instructions is crucial for ensuring personal safety and alleviating traffic jams during the eventful period.
To further streamline operations and enhance public safety, Sharjah Police has made provisions for easy access to emergency and non-emergency services. The public is encouraged to report any complaints or emergencies by dialing (999) for urgent assistance and (901) for other inquiries or reports.
The Sharjah Police General Command's elaborate preparations for the new year celebrations reflect a well-orchestrated effort to preserve the emirate's tranquility and security. Through increased patrols, technological advancements, and partnerships with key entities, Sharjah Police is set to provide a safe environment for all to welcome 2025.
