Sharjah Police Initiates Campaign For Enhanced Vehicle Safety Awareness

In a proactive move to enhance community safety, the Sharjah Police General Command has initiated an impactful awareness campaign titled "Your belongings, your responsibility". This initiative is specifically designed to educate the residents of Sharjah on the importance of taking preventive measures to avoid theft of possessions from their vehicles. The campaign, which aligns with the Ministry of Interior's strategic goals of boosting security and safety measures, will run until the of May, covering a broad spectrum of communication channels, including social media platforms in Arabic, English, and Urdu.

Brigadier General Yousef Obaid bin Harmoul, the Director of the Comprehensive Police Stations Department at the Sharjah Police General Command, highlighted the significance of the campaign. He pointed out its crucial role in elevating community awareness regarding the protection of personal items. Brig. Gen. Bin Harmoul underscored the collective responsibility of community members to adhere to preventive practices. These practices include not leaving valuables in vehicles where they are easily visible, choosing well-lit and populated areas for parking, and the installation of vehicle alarms as a deterrent to potential thefts.

The campaign, through its multilingual approach, aims to reach a diverse audience, ensuring that the message of vigilance and responsibility resonates across the community. By encouraging the public to take simple yet effective precautions, the Sharjah Police General Command is taking a significant step towards minimizing the risks associated with vehicle content theft.
