Sharjah Concludes Successful Participation In Global Media Congress With Key Discussions On AI And Arabic Content
Sharjah concluded its participation in the third Global Media Congress with a series of engaging sessions and workshops. Over three days, more than 20 insightful discussions were organised by the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, and Sharjah Media City (Shams). The event highlighted Sharjah's strong media identity and innovative initiatives.
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, visited the Sharjah pavilion. He was introduced to various initiatives that showcase the emirate's robust media profile. One such initiative is the Smart Media Platform by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau. This platform integrates advanced global technologies to streamline media activities across all government institutions in Sharjah.

The final day featured discussions on Arabic content quality, artificial intelligence, and social media's role in shaping values. A book reading session titled "Quality of Arabic Content in Light of the Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies... Professional Automated Content Creation" was held at the Sharjah stand. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Zaher and Dr. Sherine Moussa presented this session, highlighting AI applications that support Arabic language enhancement.
During a workshop titled "The Future of Artificial Intelligence in the Media," Moaz Al Omari, CEO of AIZATION for Artificial Intelligence Services and Products, discussed media experiences in content creation based on audience analysis. The workshop explored future media trends linked to modern technology and tools for building effective content strategies.
A debate titled "Social Media Communication and the New Generation: Platforms for Shaping or Destroying Values?" involved graduates from the Ithmar Media Training Programme for Children and Youth. This discussion examined how social media influences new generations' values and knowledge. Participants agreed on fostering awareness among youth to use social media positively while respecting cultural values.
The Sharjah Pavilion also hosted a workshop called "Uses of the Drone," led by trainer Khaled Al Hosani. This session educated attendees about drone components, types, usage methods, control skills, transmission systems, safety protocols, and restricted flying zones.
Interactive Platforms and Cultural Exhibits
The pavilion offered numerous interactive platforms showcasing Sharjah’s media experience alongside digital screens displaying recent developments in communication. The "Hadith Shams" podcast featured knowledge-rich discussions with notable guests. Visitors could also explore Sharjah’s cultural heritage through an exhibition titled "Collections from Sharjah Museums" by the Sharjah Museums Authority.
The agenda reflected Sharjah's unique identity through over 20 interactive sessions spotlighting achievements in education, food security, investment sectors, youth empowerment, communication models adopted by government institutions, AI opportunities in media, creativity encouragement, and promotion of Arabic language content.
