Sharjah Concludes Successful Participation In GITEX Global 2025 With Innovative Digital Projects
The Government of Sharjah wrapped up its participation at GITEX Global 2025, showcasing a variety of digital projects under the theme ‘Powered by Tech, Driven by People.’ The pavilion featured interactive experiences and live demonstrations, illustrating how technology is used to enhance life quality, improve service efficiency, and design government services focused on people's needs.
During the event, 20 government entities under the Government of Sharjah Pavilion presented 14 innovative projects. This effort demonstrated strong intergovernmental collaboration and Sharjah’s dedication to innovation as a foundation for sustainable development, aligning with the UAE’s national strategies and future goals.

At the closing ceremony, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General of Sharjah Digital Department, and Lamia Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Director of SDD, honoured participating entities, partners, sponsors, and organising committees for their significant contributions to the pavilion's success. Senior officials and representatives from Sharjah Government entities attended the ceremony.
The Department of Agriculture and Livestock received first place for the Best Project award with 'AgriHub'. The Department of Public Works secured second place for its project ‘Bo’d’. Meanwhile, Sharjah Cyber Security Center was recognised as the Best Exhibitor within the pavilion. The ‘Nabni’ project won the Community Award, while Sharjah Police Headquarters earned the Best Participating Entity Award.
On the sidelines of GITEX Global 2025, Sharjah Digital Department held strategic meetings with leading local and international tech companies. These discussions aimed to expand cooperation, exchange expertise, and explore new ways to leverage advanced technologies in support of Sharjah’s digital excellence journey.
Discussions with Microsoft focused on future projects to enhance Sharjah’s digital infrastructure resilience using secure and scalable solutions. A meeting with Red Hat explored opportunities to drive innovation and strengthen digital performance across government entities. Talks with ServiceNow addressed developing a unified AI-enabled platform for managing government IT services.
Integration of Advanced Technologies
Collaboration with Dynatrace was reinforced to integrate advanced application monitoring technologies within Sharjah’s key digital platforms. This ensures reliability, agility, and service continuity. Throughout GITEX Global 2025, the Government of Sharjah Pavilion attracted attention from VIPs, experts, and visitors who explored diverse digital projects under four integrated ecosystems: Digital Experiences, Environmental Sustainability, Smart Cities, and Our Humanity.
These ecosystems showcased how integration among government entities harnesses technology to serve people better. They highlighted aspects like government integration and sustainability alongside smart urban environments and human connection rooted in social cohesion.
Pioneering Digital Solutions
The showcased projects featured pioneering digital solutions powered by artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), and geospatial technologies. These innovations aim to deliver advanced services that place people at the heart of innovation while leveraging emerging technologies for decision-making support.
This participation provided a strategic opportunity to explore recent technological developments. It facilitated experience exchange with global tech communities while reinforcing collaboration towards comprehensive digital governance. It also strengthened Sharjah’s global standing as a leader in digital excellence and sustainable future cities.
