Sharjah National Park Hosts Celebrations For The 53rd Eid Al Etihad With Cultural Performances

The Sharjah Eid Al Etihad Committee hosted a special event at Sharjah National Park to mark the 53rd Eid Al Etihad, celebrating national pride and achievements. The festivities began with the national anthem, followed by an official welcome for guests from various societal segments, highlighting unity between Emiratis and expatriates.

The event featured captivating performances, starting with "Zayed's Dream," crafted by Rashid Juma Al Shamsi under Samira Al Ghais's supervision. This performance narrated the inspiring vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in forming the union. Another performance, "Home of Pride," showcased the UAE’s journey of growth and development.

Eid Al Etihad Celebrations at Sharjah National Park

"Sanabel Al Khair" was another highlight, focusing on values like kindness and unity. The final performance was dedicated to H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, recognising his ongoing support for Sharjah’s progress. This dedication symbolised appreciation for his efforts in enhancing Sharjah’s role and status.

The ceremony concluded by honouring individuals and organisations that contributed to the success of Eid Al Etihad events, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with pride. This event is part of a series organised by Sharjah to celebrate the 53rd Eid Al Etihad, reinforcing national values instilled by visionary leadership.

Khalid Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Eid Al Etihad Committee, stated, "First, we extend our congratulations to our visionary leadership and the loyal people of the Emirates on this national occasion. We invite everyone to participate in Sharjah’s Union Day (Eid Al Etihad) celebrations and enjoy the distinctive activities that reflect the spirit of the UAE and its promising future."

Commitment to Showcasing Cultural Heritage

Al Midfa emphasised that through these celebrations, they aim to enhance Sharjah’s position as a distinguished destination showcasing its natural and cultural beauty globally. He added, "We are pleased to share with everyone the joy of the UAE’s celebrations for the 53rd Eid Al Etihad. This national occasion embodies the values of unity, renaissance, and the shared vision that has positioned our country among the world’s leading nations."

He further highlighted that Sharjah's celebrations reflect belonging and pride in union values uniting Emiratis and expatriates. "Through these diverse events that will be running from 21 November to 2 December, we aim to provide a rich experience that showcases our heritage and culture, blending authenticity with modernity in an atmosphere full of joy and solidarity."
