Sharjah Launches Second Cohort Of Job Seekers Training Programme For 788 Trainees
The Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) has initiated the second group of the Sharjah Programme for Training and Qualifying Job Seekers. This move aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The programme began with a workshop titled "Administrative Awareness and Workplace Discipline," marking its official start.
This cohort comprises 788 trainees distributed across five training centres in the Emirate. The locations include 187 participants in Sharjah City, 124 in the Central Region, 184 in Khorfakkan, 170 in Kalba, and 123 in Dibba Al Hisn. The programme runs for six months, offering both academic and practical training.

The initial three months focus on specialised qualification programmes. This is followed by three months of field training. This practical phase is conducted in collaboration with accredited institutions and various government entities to ensure comprehensive learning experiences.
Each trainee receives a monthly stipend of AED6,000 throughout their participation. To manage these financial transactions efficiently, Sharjah Islamic Bank has started activating bank accounts for participants. This ensures that stipends are disbursed promptly each month.
Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, a member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of SDHR, noted that this initiative continues Sharjah’s dedication to nurturing national talent. He stated that it reflects the leadership’s vision to invest in human capital and provide meaningful job opportunities for Emiratis.
The programme's design aims to equip participants with essential skills through both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. By doing so, it seeks to enhance employability among Emirati job seekers across various sectors within the region.
