Sharjah And Khorfakkan Enhance Real Estate Services With New E-linking Agreement
In a significant move towards enhancing digital integration and streamlining real estate services in Khorfakkan, the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD) has recently inked a memorandum of cooperation with the Municipal Council of the city. This collaboration is set to revolutionize the way real estate inquiries and transactions are handled, making it considerably easier for individuals and businesses engaged in the sector.
The memorandum was officially signed by Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of SRERD, and Dr. Rashid Khamis Al-Naqbi, Chairman of Khorfakkan Municipal Council. The ceremony was witnessed by key officials from both entities, marking a milestone in the provision of government services related to real estate in the region.

This partnership is primarily aimed at facilitating access to real estate data through an electronic service (Web Service), thereby eliminating the need for physical visits to SRERD’s premises. Customers can now directly obtain property statement certificates from the Municipal Council’s building, a step that underscores the commitment to digital transformation and customer convenience.
Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi highlighted the objectives behind this strategic alliance, emphasizing its role in achieving digital integration and enhancing cooperation between SRERD and Khorfakkan’s Municipal Council. He pointed out that this initiative is part of a broader effort to provide an integrated business system that not only attracts investors but also benefits the city’s residents by offering easy and efficient real estate services.
Moreover, Al Shamsi revealed impressive figures that underscore the efficacy of electronic services in the real estate sector. In 2023 alone, a total of 24,577 electronic certificates were issued for property inquiries and transactions, significantly saving time and effort for customers.
Dr. Rashid Khamis Al-Naqbi expressed his enthusiasm for the agreement, viewing it as a crucial step towards alleviating challenges faced by Khorfakkan’s populace in dealing with real estate matters. He praised the seamless process enabled by this cooperation, which aligns with the emirate's vision for a comprehensive electronic work system.
Al Naqbi also lauded the efforts of SRERD in facilitating this partnership, which he believes will play a pivotal role in fostering sustainable economic development through enhanced cooperation between government institutions.
This collaboration between SRERD and Khorfakkan’s Municipal Council is more than just a procedural enhancement; it is a testament to Sharjah’s ongoing commitment to leveraging technology for economic growth and improved public services. By providing easier access to real estate data and streamlining transaction processes, this initiative is set to benefit investors, residents, and the broader community in Khorfakkan.
