Sharjah Judicial Council Discusses Strategic Plan For 2026–2028 Focused On Justice And Security

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, attended a session by the Sharjah Judicial Council on Wednesday. The meeting, held at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, centred on the Council’s strategic plan for 2026–2028.

The strategic plan's framework was examined, covering its vision, mission, and core values. Discussions aimed to identify effective methods for judicial bodies to achieve their goals. The ultimate aim is to establish a pioneering judicial system that upholds the rule of law.

The session explored several core themes guided by directives from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. These directives focus on justice, security, family, and social stability to ensure a safe environment for all.

Key themes in the strategic plan include promoting judicial independence and commitment to integrity, credibility, and impartiality. Building capabilities and advancing the judicial system are also priorities. The plan aims to strengthen public trust in justice through seamless digital services.

The discussion included reviewing international judicial models and best practices alongside UAE national strategies. Local implementation plans were also considered to enhance integration, efficiency, and governance across legal institutions.

The strategic plan addresses key drivers of change aimed at enhancing global competitiveness indicators. It focuses on innovation, agility, institutional development, and future foresight to improve the quality of the work environment.
