SGCA 2024 Global Call for Entries

Specifically designed to honour the government sector's achievements, SGMB has introduced three main award categories. These include the Best Integrated Communication System, a recognition of comprehensive and cohesive communication strategies; the Best Campaign Targeting Cultural Identity and the Arabic Language, which celebrates initiatives aimed at preserving cultural heritage and promoting the Arabic language; and the Best Communication Targeting Youth. The latter is divided into two subcategories: Best Campaign Positively Impacting Youth Awareness and Practices, and Best Communication Program Supporting Emerging Projects and Youth, focusing on empowering the younger generation.

Awards for Broad Sectors

Recognizing the importance of cross-sector collaboration, SGMB has announced six awards open to public and private sectors as well as international organizations. These awards cover a wide range of areas including Best Communication Strategy Dealing with Crises, Best Communication with Artificial Intelligence Technology in Service of the Community, and Best Communication and Media Content. Additional categories highlight Best Communication and Humanitarian Practices Supporting Social Responsibility, Best Investment in Soft Power to Support Communication Programs, and Best Communication Project Targeting Children and Adolescents, demonstrating the diverse scope of communication excellence sought by the SGMB.

Individual Excellence in Communication

Four awards are dedicated to individual contributors who have made significant impacts in their respective areas. These are Best Youth Initiative in Government Communication, Best Official Spokesperson (employed in a government agency), Best Research in Communication Sciences, and Best Purposeful Digital Content Creator. These categories celebrate the individual efforts and contributions towards advancing the communication field.

Applicants vying for these prestigious awards are required to submit a comprehensive file for evaluation. This file should include an executive summary, detailed headings, illustrations, and supporting attachments such as infographics, videos, and photos, ensuring that all submissions adhere to the specific criteria set for each category. This meticulous approach to the application process ensures that all entries are assessed fairly and thoroughly, highlighting the SGMB’s commitment to excellence in government communication.
