Sharjah Government Media Authorities Present Engaging Agenda For Global Media Congress In Abu Dhabi

The Sharjah government media authorities have announced an engaging programme for the third Global Media Congress in Abu Dhabi from 26th to 28th November. The Sharjah Government Media Bureau, Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, and Sharjah Media City (Shams) will host 21 interactive sessions, workshops, and debates over three days. This initiative highlights Sharjah's vibrant media landscape and its commitment to cultural and knowledge projects.

Sharjah's participation reflects its dedication to showcasing its media achievements and fostering dialogue on media sector advancements. The emirate aims to highlight its educational leadership, investment opportunities, youth empowerment initiatives, and innovative communication models. The agenda also explores artificial intelligence's role in enhancing media content quality.

Sharjah Unveils Agenda for Global Media Congress

A key session titled "From Innovation to Application: Education in Sharjah is a Pioneering Global Model" will feature Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashmi, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, and Dr. Mohamed Safi Al Mosteghanemi. This session will be moderated by Dr. Abdul Salam Al Hammadi. It aims to discuss Sharjah's educational advancements as a global model.

Another significant session, "Scientific Journalism in the Arab Media," includes Hussein Al Moosawi and Abdul Latif Al Sayegh with Mariam Fikri moderating. This discussion will delve into the role of scientific journalism within Arab media landscapes.

The event will also feature a session titled "Integration between Agriculture and Investment: Sustainable Food Security." Participants include Dr. Engineer Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, and Hussein Mohammed Al Mahmoudi. This session focuses on sustainable food security through agriculture-investment integration.

The debate "Media Specialisations: Academic Courses and the Labour Market" features Fadhila Al Muaini and Dr. Abeer Al Najjar with Waleed Al Asbahi moderating. It examines how academic courses align with labour market needs in media specialisations.

Workshops Enhancing Skills

SGMB, the Sharjah Media Academy under SBA, and Shams are organising workshops covering various topics like drone usage, scenario writing by Mohammed Hassan Ahmed, content creation by Younis Al Hosani, social communication writing by Mohammed Sameh, AI uses in media, charisma effect in media, AI-driven content creation by Ahmed Khalifa, and empowering youth through media platforms by Fatima Al Blooshi.

The "Reading a Book: A Guide to Government Communication Governance" session presented by Professor Dr. Ahmed Farouk explains government communication governance concepts. Another reading session discusses Arabic content quality using AI technologies led by Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Zaher and Dr. Sherin Moussa.

Promoting Child Safety

The Child Safety Department will showcase its award-winning communication efforts targeting youth at the event. Hanadi Al Yafei will lead an interactive session titled "Transformation to Innovation," highlighting child safety promotion strategies through community awareness initiatives.

Rashid Abdullah Al Obed of Shams emphasised their commitment to supporting media professionals through services that foster creativity across sectors. Shams' programmes aim to enhance public knowledge while equipping participants with essential skills for evolving media industry demands.

Cultural Heritage Exhibition

The Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) will present an exhibition titled "Artefacts from Sharjah Museums" at the Global Media Congress. This exhibition offers visitors insights into Sharjah’s rich cultural heritage alongside scientific achievements reflecting UAE’s vibrant history where culture meets science.

Tariq Saeed Allay of SGMB highlighted that participating in the congress allows showcasing Sharjah’s distinguished media experience globally while discussing ideas benefiting UAE’s media sector development path towards excellence.

"The Global Media Congress is an excellent opportunity to highlight the successive achievements of the emirate that have established its position on the regional and global map while examining and discussing ideas that serve the UAE media sector," Allay stated.
