Sharjah-France Economic Forum Enhances Investment Partnerships And Cooperation Opportunities

The Sharjah Department of Government Relations (SDGR) recently hosted the "Sharjah-France Economic Forum." This event, held in collaboration with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the UAE – Dubai Office (CCI France Dubai), took place at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The forum was attended by Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Jean Christophe Paris, Consul General of the French Republic in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, along with various officials and representatives from government institutions and French economic companies.

The primary goal of this forum was to enhance economic and investment partnerships between Sharjah and France. It aimed to explore new opportunities for collaboration in key sectors. The event featured networking sessions and relationship-building activities, alongside a series of bilateral meetings between French company representatives and their counterparts from Sharjah's business community. These interactions facilitated discussions on future projects and strengthened economic ties.

Jean Christophe Paris highlighted the longstanding cooperation between France and Sharjah during the forum. He stated, "France and Sharjah have a long-standing cooperation and are now partners in ambition. So that's why we came here with many French companies from different sectors construction, water management, energy to develop the connection with their counterparts here in Sharjah." This statement underscores the commitment to deepening ties across various industries.

Paris also expressed gratitude towards the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce for organising such an event. He remarked, "We thank the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce for organising such a gathering, a B2B connection and meeting so that the business between France and Sharjah will be better enhanced and working towards a common future." His words reflect appreciation for creating platforms that foster business growth.
