During the session, the Council examined several key topics aimed at improving infrastructure and monitoring development projects in various regions. They also discussed updates concerning retirement benefits for military personnel in Sharjah. A draft law, revised by the Sharjah Consultative Council, was reviewed and is set to be forwarded to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for approval.
In a move to aid young Emirati entrepreneurs, the Council approved a plan to reduce fees for specific projects supported by the Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (RUWAD). This initiative will halve government fees for 83 innovative projects over two years. These ventures span diverse business sectors across different cities in the emirate.
The Council also evaluated a presentation on private healthcare regulations in Sharjah. Discussions centred on improving licensing processes for health facilities and managing healthcare professionals' work more effectively within these establishments.
The recommendations from this presentation included accelerating digital services provided by the Sharjah Health Authority. The emphasis was on enhancing these services to maintain a high standard of care for all residents.
By focusing on infrastructure improvements and supporting local entrepreneurs, the SEC aims to foster economic growth and ensure quality services in Sharjah. The initiatives discussed reflect a commitment to advancing both public welfare and business innovation within the emirate.
