Sharjah Allocates 642 Locations For Eid Al Fitr Prayers Across The City

The Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department is setting up 642 locations for Eid Al Fitr prayers throughout Sharjah. This includes 454 sites in Sharjah City and Al Hamriyah, 103 in the Central Region, and 85 in the Eastern Region. These areas have been prepared to welcome worshippers, with special teams ensuring audio equipment is installed and outdoor spaces are organised for large gatherings.

The department has collaborated with Sharjah Police and the municipality to ensure safety and comfort during prayer rituals. Some prayer rooms and mosques will offer services for non-Arabic speakers, including Urdu, Malayalam, Tamil, and English. Additionally, sign language interpretation of the Eid sermon will be available at the Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal Mosque in Al Jazzat.

Eid Al Fitr prayers will occur at various times across Sharjah. In Sharjah City and Al Hamriyah, prayers start at 6:28 am. In Al Dhaid and Al Bataeh, they begin at 6:26 am. Meanwhile, Al Madam and Mleiha will hold prayers at 6:27 am, while the Eastern Region starts at 6:25 am.

The department has concluded its Ramadan activities aimed at enhancing religious awareness within the community. These included mosque lessons on Zakat Al Fitr's significance, how much to give, and when to distribute it. The traditions of Eid Al Fitr were also discussed during these sessions.
