Sharjah Economic Development Department Introduces AI-Powered Trade Name Issuance Service For Businesses
The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has introduced a new service for issuing trade names using artificial intelligence (AI). This marks a pivotal moment in the Department's digital transformation, aiming to enhance service delivery for both individuals and businesses. Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman, highlighted that the AI-driven trade name issuance service represents a significant shift in customer service delivery. "It has been developed to provide a unified and integrated digital experience based on AI and operational flexibility, meeting the aspirations of customers across various sectors," he stated.

It provides personalised suggestions based on user preferences and activities while minimising human errors through generative AI integration. Al Mahmoud further explained that this project embodies SEDD’s vision to strengthen digital infrastructure and utilise modern technology for development support.
