Sharjah Showcases Its Digital Vision And Innovation At GITEX Global 2025
The Sharjah Digital Department has finalised arrangements for the Government of Sharjah's involvement in GITEX Global 2025. Scheduled from 13 to 17 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event will feature a unified pavilion. This pavilion will bring together 20 government entities and highlight 14 innovative digital projects under the theme ‘Powered by Tech, Driven by People,’ showcasing Sharjah's leadership in digital innovation.
During a preparatory forum organised by SDD, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of SDD, and Eng. Lamia Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Director of SDD, were present with representatives from participating government bodies. The forum aimed to unify efforts and strengthen collaboration for a cohesive presence at this global technology event.

The Government of Sharjah’s participation aims to highlight success stories in digital transformation and artificial intelligence adoption. This effort reinforces Sharjah's position as a regional and global centre for innovation and advanced technology. The focus is on providing high-quality services that meet the needs of individuals and institutions while enhancing community well-being.
Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi stated that this participation will be "an exceptional participation" with meaningful impact. He referred to H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi’s visit to SDD, where the Sharjah Digital Integration Programme was approved. The pavilion will showcase significant progress in digital transformation commended by His Highness.
The pavilion offers an engaging digital experience through interactive showcases and success stories highlighting integration between government entities and private sector partnerships. It features four ecosystems: Digital Experiences, Environmental Sustainability, Smart Cities, and Our Humanity. These demonstrate how technology serves people and builds a sustainable future.
The Director General of SDD emphasised that this year’s theme reflects Sharjah’s commitment to its leadership’s vision of being a global hub for innovation and digital integration. The emirate aims to develop interconnected government services that enhance community well-being and elevate customer experiences.
Public–Private Collaboration
This participation underscores the importance of public–private collaboration in driving innovation. The event provides an opportunity to showcase technological advancements and foster partnerships locally and internationally.
The forum addressed media coordination plans, unified messaging, media committee roles, pavilion design concepts, registration procedures, communication channels, exhibition protocol, and media coverage guidelines. Participants explored collaboration mechanisms ensuring a unified presence showcasing achievements in digital transformation.
The Government of Sharjah Pavilion aims to spotlight digital services enhancing customer satisfaction while encouraging public-private sector collaboration locally and internationally. This supports Sharjah’s journey towards excellence in digital governance by reinforcing its presence on the global innovation map.
The forum concluded by reaffirming Sharjah's commitment to GITEX Global as a strategic platform broadening opportunities and strengthening partnerships. This enhances the Emirate’s leadership in shaping a people-centred digital future through technology-driven initiatives.
