Sharjah Digital Department Unveils Improved SEWA Bill Payment Service

Sharjah Digital Department (SDD) has introduced an enhanced version of the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) bill payment service on its 'Digital Sharjah' platform. This update is part of SDD's continuous efforts to improve platform services, ensuring they remain efficient and quick. The department aims to enhance user experience with each update, adding more value and convenience.

The new service features a sophisticated user interface designed for better user interaction. Users can now easily view their account balances linked to their Emirates ID or added manually. They can also access current and previous bills in PDF format, with up to 10 past bills available. Additionally, users can lodge complaints or objections regarding their bills effortlessly.

Enhanced SEWA Bill Payment in Sharjah

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah Digital Department, highlighted the department's dedication to providing comprehensive services through its digital platform. He stated that the platform is tailored to meet user needs while maintaining high efficiency levels. "This aims to make the digital experience more distinguished, convenient, and reliable for their community," he said.

The development of the SEWA bill payment service was influenced by user suggestions and feedback gathered through various communication channels. This approach ensures that the services are aligned with user expectations and requirements.

SDD regularly shares instructional videos in both Arabic and English on its social media platforms. These videos guide users on how to use the services available on the platform effectively.

Diverse Payment Options

SDD offers over 60 services from 19 government and private entities, covering essential sectors in Sharjah. Users have multiple payment options including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, direct debit cards, credit cards, and the Tahseel Digital Payment System. The availability of these options ensures flexibility and ease for users during transactions.

The mobile application for 'Digital Sharjah' can be downloaded on both iOS and Android devices. This allows users to perform transactions securely and conveniently from their smartphones.

This initiative by SDD reflects its commitment to enhancing digital services in Sharjah. By continuously updating its platform based on user feedback, SDD ensures that it meets the evolving needs of its community efficiently.
