Sharjah Consultative Council and Police Research Centre Forge Stronger Ties for Community Service
The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) has recently engaged in discussions with the Police Research Centre at the Sharjah Police General Command to enhance their collaborative efforts in scientific research. This initiative is aimed at addressing societal issues and bolstering the council's effectiveness in its parliamentary duties. The dialogue was facilitated by Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the SCC, who welcomed a delegation from the Police Research Centre, headed by Colonel Ali Saif Al Dhabahi, Deputy Director of the Centre.
The meeting, which also saw the presence of Halima Al Owais, Vice Chairperson of the SCC, Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary General of the SCC, and several council members, focused on understanding the operational framework and strategic objectives of the Police Research Centre. The attendees explored various facets of the Centre's work, including its organizational structure, main responsibilities, and its approach to scientific research aimed at resolving security and societal challenges.

Further discussions revolved around the Police Thought Journal's policy, highlighting its commitment to publishing rigorous scientific literature and its strategies for selecting and evaluating research for publication. The council was briefed on how the Centre organizes seminars and scientific forums among other activities within its purview.
Colonel Ali Saif Al Dhabahi elaborated on how the Centre's research activities are geared towards understanding social phenomena that impact police work. He emphasized the importance of leveraging these insights to formulate strategic plans and objectives that address related issues. This is done in collaboration with relevant authorities and includes ongoing cooperation with the SCC to undertake various research projects.
Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi expressed his gratitude towards the Police Research Centre for its contributions to the Sharjah Police General Command.
