Sharjah Charity Fulfills 273 Educational Projects Worldwide In 2023
In a significant stride towards enhancing educational infrastructure in underprivileged regions, Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has proudly announced the completion of 273 educational buildings outside the UAE in 2023, with an investment totalling AED10.8 million. This initiative, part of the "Let's Learn" project, aims to provide a robust learning environment through the construction of classrooms, schools, and major educational centres equipped with modern technology.
The "Let's Learn" project is designed to address the educational needs in remote areas across Asia, Africa, and Europe by not only constructing physical structures but also furnishing them with up-to-date technological tools such as computers. Moreover, it extends financial support for teacher salaries, ensuring a comprehensive approach to education enhancement.

Ali Al Rashidi, Head of Resources and Investment at SCI, emphasized the project's capacity to serve over 10,000 students annually. He underscored the importance of these educational facilities in offering opportunities for children, especially those located in remote regions. Al Rashidi also pointed out SCI's diligent monitoring to guarantee timely completion and delivery of these projects, alongside regular maintenance to maintain their effectiveness.
Further illustrating SCI's commitment to education, Al Rashidi shared insights into a collaboration with Al-Qasimia University aimed at advancing Quranic studies programmes in various African countries. This partnership focuses on innovative teaching methods and a comprehensive curriculum to enrich students' learning experiences. Additionally, discussions with Dubai Islamic Bank are underway to launch a similar project, reinforcing SCI's dedication to broadening educational opportunities in developing countries.
This initiative reflects SCI's vision of creating nurturing learning environments that empower students with essential knowledge and strong values. Such environments are instrumental in enabling students to make positive contributions to their communities. Through these efforts, SCI continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education in underprivileged areas around the globe.
