Sharjah Chamber Hosts World Quality Day Forum To Discuss AI Integration In Quality Management
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), alongside the SCCI Youth Council, hosted the World Quality Day Forum. This event focused on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into quality management systems. Under the theme "Quality’s Future in AI Era," it explored AI's opportunities and challenges, emphasising workforce skill development to match technological advancements.
Held at the SCCI headquarters, the forum attracted notable attendees including Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI; Samira Mohammed, Director-General of Dubai Quality Group; and Brigadier Dr. Tariq Jassim Al Midfa from Sharjah Police General Command. Senior officials, corporate leaders, and quality experts from various sectors also participated.

The event provided a platform for discussing recent developments in quality management and AI's role in boosting institutional performance, innovation, and competitiveness. Discussions centred on how organisations can shift to data-driven, predictive models enhanced by AI to improve agility.
In his opening speech, Al Awadi emphasised that celebrating World Quality Day underscores the Chamber’s dedication to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. He mentioned initiatives like the Strategic Business Leadership Programme and the Sharjah Excellence Award, which now uses a fourth-generation evaluation framework aligned with global best practices.
Maryam Ahmed Al Ali, Director of Strategy and Institutional Leadership at SCCI, highlighted AI as a key driver in quality management and performance enhancement. She explained that the Chamber’s strategy incorporates digital transformation to support predictive analytics and agile decision-making across its operations.
The forum featured a keynote by Samira Mohammed on global quality best practices and an address by Brigadier Dr. Tariq Al Midfa about integrating quality standards within public sectors. A visual presentation titled "Quality and AI" demonstrated the increasing synergy between AI technologies and quality frameworks.
Future Prospects for Smart Quality
A flagship panel discussion titled "The Future of Smart Quality: How AI Will Redefine Global Standards" was chaired by Aisha Saleh from SCCI Youth Council. It included specialists like Murtadha Al Zubaidi from Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Mona Al Ghawi from Sharjah Media Council, and Mohammed Abou Hassna from PDCA Group.
The forum concluded with calls to utilise high-level platforms for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Participants affirmed these gatherings' importance in supporting Sharjah’s aim for a competitive, sustainable business ecosystem driven by technology.
