Sharjah Chamber Emphasises Role Of Sectoral Business Groups In Driving Private Sector Growth

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is expanding its support for Sectoral Business Groups. This move aims to include new economic activities throughout the emirate. The initiative is part of SCCI's strategy to stimulate private sector growth, promote sustainable development, and enhance business competitiveness in Sharjah.

During a recent meeting led by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, the chamber's 2025 action plan was discussed. The meeting included Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Dr. Fatema Khalifa Al Muqarrab, and Amjad Awad Al Karim. The plan involves creating new sector-specific groups and organising brainstorming sessions with the Business Councils Department.

He stated that forming new groups in emerging sectors aligns with the Chamber’s vision to adapt to global economic trends. This approach aims to boost investment appeal, expand business partnerships, and strengthen public-private collaboration.

The action plan also includes workshops on economic laws and regular meetings with sector leaders. These efforts aim to identify needs and propose tailored business incentives. Supporting participation in domestic and international events is another key component of the plan.

Heads of various Sectoral Business Groups shared their achievements and future plans during the meeting. Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi from the Real Estate Sector Group discussed initiatives to attract real estate investment and expand project portfolios. Preparations for the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition ACRES 2026 were also highlighted.
