Sharjah Chamber To Honour Winners Of The Excellence Award At Ceremony On June 25
The Sharjah Excellence Award (SEA) will celebrate its 2024 winners on 25th June. Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), it is supported by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. The Board of Trustees noted an increase in participation this year, highlighting the award's growing influence.
During a recent meeting led by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, several significant topics were discussed. The meeting included prominent figures like Hamad Ali Al Mahmoud from the Sharjah Economic Development Department and Khalid Jasim Al Midfa from the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. A key decision was to extend the registration deadline for the 2025 edition to 31st January 2026.

The Board also explored launching a new category named "Best Service Entity." This proposal aims to broaden the award's scope and encourage more diverse participation. Additionally, they emphasised collaboration with other excellence awards in the UAE to foster knowledge exchange and enhance standards.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais praised the efforts of the SEA team, reaffirming SCCI's dedication to using the award as a platform for promoting business excellence and innovation. This aligns with Sharjah’s strategy focused on quality and institutional excellence, supporting a competitive knowledge-based economy.
The award plays a crucial role in improving corporate performance standards, contributing significantly to Sharjah's development goals. It serves as a catalyst for enhancing business practices across various sectors within the UAE.
Future Plans and Developments
Nada Al-Hajri, General Coordinator of SEA, highlighted that extending the registration deadline allows more private sector institutions to participate in future editions. The Board is also considering allowing companies from all emirates to join, which would expand the award’s reach and impact.
Al-Hajri mentioned that these discussions are part of broader efforts to enhance the award’s appeal. By introducing new categories and expanding eligibility, SEA aims to attract a wider range of participants, thereby increasing its influence across different industries.
The meeting concluded with optimism about these initiatives shaping SEA’s future phases. By fostering innovation and excellence, SEA continues to support Sharjah’s vision for sustainable economic growth through strategic initiatives that prioritise quality and innovation in business practices.
