The discussions during this session delved into the field of Arabic lexicography. Speakers shared insights into how linguistic academies are advancing this industry. They highlighted key initiatives aimed at supporting linguistic research and enhancing Arabic's role in various knowledge domains. Additionally, they addressed challenges faced by these institutions and explored collaborative efforts to develop linguistic tools that align with global scientific progress.

Dr. Mosteghanemi highlighted the "GPT Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language" project. This initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. It aims to elevate the status of Arabic using modern technology. The project integrates artificial intelligence with historical linguistic studies to provide extensive language resources and digital tools for writing and content creation.

The dictionary project is a significant advancement in Arabic lexicography. It offers continuous updates through collaboration between the Sharjah Arabic Language Academy and the Emirates Centre for Research and Studies. This partnership ensures that users have access to up-to-date language resources.

Dr. Mosteghanemi also discussed the Sharjah Award for Linguistic and Lexical Studies, initiated by ALA with support from H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah. He described it as a pioneering platform encouraging specialised research in linguistics and lexicography. The award is presented annually to recognise outstanding contributions in these fields.
