Sharjah Airport Expands Connectivity With Fly Cham Flights To Damascus And Aleppo

The Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has introduced Fly Cham flights to the emirate, beginning operations on Thursday, 28 August. This move enhances Sharjah Airport’s role as a hub for regional and international travel. It aligns with the airport's goal to expand its network and improve air connectivity with nearby countries, offering passengers more choices and convenience.

Fly Cham will operate five weekly flights between Damascus and Sharjah. Arrivals are set for 2:00 p.m., with departures at 3:00 p.m., using Airbus A320 aircraft. Additionally, two weekly flights will connect Aleppo and Sharjah, departing at 4:30 a.m. and arriving at 5:30 a.m., providing more travel options between Syria and the UAE.

Fly Cham Launches Flights at Sharjah Airport

Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of SAA, emphasized that Fly Cham's launch is a valuable addition to the airport’s strategic expansion efforts. He highlighted that this service meets growing demand and offers travellers more flexible options, enhancing mobility and fostering stronger connections with family and loved ones.

Dr Ahmed Al Hmoudi, Director of the Customer Service Department at Sharjah Airport, along with Hamdi Khalaf, Commercial Director of Fly Cham, attended the inaugural flight's landing. Senior officials from both sides were also present to mark this significant occasion.

Al Midfa stated: "We are pleased to welcome Fly Cham to the growing network of airlines operating through Sharjah Airport. Their increased presence highlights the strength of our infrastructure and the quality of services available to our airline partners. SAA is committed to its long-term vision of delivering a safe, seamless, and efficient travel experience."

Captain Moussa Boutros, CEO of Fly Cham, expressed satisfaction with partnering with Sharjah Airport. He noted that this collaboration marks a strategic step in expanding their network and strengthening their presence in regional markets. The choice of Sharjah Airport reflects confidence in its world-class status.
