Sharjah Airport Achieves Renewal Of ACI Level 2 Customer Experience Accreditation In 2025

Sharjah Airport has successfully renewed its Level 2 Airport Customer Experience Accreditation from Airports Council International (ACI). This achievement highlights the airport's dedication to maintaining high service standards and ensuring a smooth travel experience for passengers. The award was presented during the ACI Airport Experience Summit 2025 in Guangzhou, China, attended by key figures from various airports worldwide.

The accreditation encourages airports to adopt best practices globally, enhancing passenger satisfaction at every journey stage. ACI’s programme consists of five levels, evaluated across eight areas: customer understanding, strategy, measurement, operational improvement, governance, airport culture, service design and innovation, and collaboration with the airport community.

Sharjah Airport Renews ACI Accreditation

Sharjah Airport first received this recognition in 2022. Its renewal in 2025 confirms its status among top global airports prioritising passenger experience. This reflects a commitment to improving services and operational standards as passenger numbers grow. The airport continues to implement innovative initiatives that enhance customer experiences from arrival to departure.

Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, stated that this renewed accreditation strengthens Sharjah Airport’s global aviation standing. It also reinforces the Emirate’s reputation as an advanced air transport hub. He remarked, "This achievement reflects the confidence international organisations place in the services provided by Sharjah Airport as a comprehensive, safe and smart travel destination."

The accreditation confirms Sharjah Airport's clear strategy and advanced mechanisms for understanding passenger expectations. This is achieved through survey feedback, data analysis and journey mapping. Frontline training and process improvements contribute significantly to higher satisfaction with services provided.
