Sharjah Eid Al Etihad 54th Celebrations Attract 233k Visitors Across 250 Events

The Emirate of Sharjah concluded its 54th Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) celebrations on Tuesday, marking the end of a 14-day programme combining cultural heritage, innovation, community engagement, and coexistence. The events attracted citizens, residents, and international visitors, underscoring the UAE’s unity, cultural diversity, and future-focused outlook.

Held from 19 November to 2 December, the celebrations featured more than 250 activities and drew approximately more than 233 thousand participants across cities and areas throughout the emirate. The edition highlighted Sharjah’s identity as a global cultural hub and a comprehensive community experience centred on national values and social cohesion.

The programme included marine and land parades, heritage exhibitions, interactive educational workshops, technology innovation corners, and musical performances. Emirati youth presented robotic displays and smart experiences, reflecting the integration of advanced technology with traditional arts, while government departments and cultural institutions supported broad public participation.

Environmental sustainability was a core feature, with the use of environmentally friendly materials and workshops focused on raising environmental awareness among children and youth. Activities introduced participants to traditional crafts and Emirati arts, creating a link between authenticity and modernity and promoting responsible practices within the community.
