Sharaf Group Donates Dh5 Million To Support Global Education Via Mothers’ Endowment
In a significant move towards supporting global education, Sharaf Group has pledged Dh5 million to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign. This initiative, spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, aims to establish a Dh1 billion endowment fund. The fund is dedicated to honouring mothers worldwide by facilitating the education of millions of underprivileged individuals.
The generous contribution by Sharaf Group underscores a collective effort within the community to back the campaign. This initiative not only aligns with Islamic values but also promotes the essence of human benevolence. The campaign, organized under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), is set to collaborate with various humanitarian organizations. The goal is to implement educational projects that equip millions with essential skills for self-reliance.

Yasser Sharaf, Vice President of Sharaf Group, expressed pride in supporting the Mothers’ Endowment campaign. He highlighted that this campaign mirrors the vision of sustainable giving championed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and reflects the UAE's commitment to aiding those in need globally. "We are honored to be part of this campaign launched in honor of mothers, and to continue working with MBRGI to support their charity programmes around the world in line with the Group’s commitment to social responsibility and to supporting UAE’s humanitarian initiatives," Sharaf stated.
The Mothers’ Endowment campaign is not just about financial contributions; it's about instilling values such as respect for parents, kindness, compassion, and solidarity. It also showcases the UAE's leadership in humanitarian efforts by creating a sustainable endowment focused on education and empowerment.
The campaign continues to invite donations from both institutions and individuals through various channels. Interested donors can contribute via the campaign’s official website (Mothersfund.ae), or through a dedicated call center at the toll-free number (800 9999). Bank transfers are accepted in UAE dirham at Emirates Islamic Bank (AE790340003708472909201). For those preferring SMS donations, sending the word "Mother" to numbers (1034, 1035, 1036, 1038) for Etisalat by e& users is an option. Additionally, contributions can be made through the DubaiNow app by selecting the "Donations" tab and Dubai’s community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae).
This initiative not only highlights the importance of supporting underprivileged communities but also emphasizes the role of education in empowering individuals for a better future. Through such collective efforts, Sharaf Group and other contributors are setting a precedent for sustainable charity work that aligns with both modern values and traditional beliefs.
