Shams Awards Winners Of Short Film Writing Challenge At Xposure 2024

Sharjah Media City (Shams) has recently spotlighted the creative talents emerging from its media and creative competition, held in conjunction with the 8th International Photography Festival "Xposure 2024". This event, known for its significant community engagement, has once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing and recognizing unique talents within the media sector.

In a notable segment of the competition, the "Short Film Writing Challenge", Shams awarded Mona Al Zahiri with the Best Idea Award. Rashid Abdoun received the Best Story Award, while Sultan bin Dafon was honored with the Best Screenplay Award. The challenge, which revolved around an emotive image from the festival's events, saw participation from 25 individuals. Additionally, five contestants were selected to write the screenplay for a short series, showcasing the depth of talent among participants.

Winners of Shams Film Challenge Announced

Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Shams, took the opportunity at the festival's conclusion to present the awards. He extended his gratitude towards the winners for their remarkable achievements and underscored the importance of such accolades in identifying and fostering exceptional talent. Furthermore, Dr. Al Midfa highlighted how these awards play a crucial role in enhancing and promoting creative skills among individuals.

As part of its commitment to educational development within the creative community, Shams also organized eight training seminars during the festival. These sessions provided over 100 individuals with valuable insights and skills enhancement opportunities in various aspects of media and creativity.
