Shaden Yaser Achieves Highest Score On Opening Day Of Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Championship

The 17th Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Championship began on Friday at Etihad Arena, Yas Island. This prestigious event features 338 horses, with 81 coming from outside the UAE. The championship is organised by the Emirates Arabian Horse Society and follows the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations (ECAHO) rules. The total prize money for winners amounts to €4 million.

Prominent figures attended the opening day, including Jaber Mohammed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Minister of State; Sheikh Hamad Khaled Al Sabah, owner of Al Hamad Stud; and Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports. Also present were Bader Al Darwish, President of the Qatar Equestrian Federation; Mohamed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director General of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society; Sami Bulainain from the World Arabian Horse Organisation's Executive Committee; and Mohamed Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral.

Shaden Yaser Leads Abu Dhabi Horse Championship

The first day focused on fillies and mares across various age groups. Shaden Yasser, owned by Nayla Hayek, achieved a remarkable score of 92.50 points in the 3-year-old fillies category, Section A. This impressive performance secured her top position in this category.

In Section A of the Yearling Fillies category, Najdiya Al Shahab scored 91.43 points for owner Fadhel Abbas Al Jamri. Meanwhile, AJ Ghaydaa led Section B with a score of 91.07 points for Amara Stables. Ajeebah Albidayer earned 92.21 points in Section C for Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qassimi.

D Thaw excelled in Section A of the Fillies 2-year-old category with a score of 91.86 points for Dubai Stud. In Section B, Al Aryam Harbah took first place with a total score of 92.07 points for Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.

In Section B of the Fillies 3-year-old category, D Aserah scored an impressive 92.00 points for Dubai Stud. AD Bdoor concluded the day's competitions with a score of 92.00 points in Section A of the Mares 4+ years old category for owner Hamad Adnan Al Shehhi.

The championship concludes tomorrow on Sunday, promising more thrilling performances as participants vie for top honours and substantial prize money.
