SGMB Certifies 18 Employees As In-House Trainers To Boost Knowledge Sharing
The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) has successfully wrapped up its "Train the Trainer" Programme in partnership with the University of Sharjah (UOS). This initiative certified 18 employees as in-house trainers, equipping them to conduct professional development workshops and training sessions. The programme is part of SGMB's strategy to cultivate a network of skilled trainers within its ranks.
The three-month course was conducted by UOS’s Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development. It involved 60 hours of practical training, focusing on creating training materials, improving presentation skills, assessing learning needs, and evaluating training effectiveness. The curriculum was tailored to meet the specific demands of the media sector.

Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of SGMB, highlighted the organisation's dedication to investing in its workforce. He stated that preparing employees as certified trainers is crucial for their professional growth and enhances the organisation's overall performance. This approach fosters a culture where knowledge is shared across various teams.
Dr. Essam El-Din Ajami, Chancellor of UOS, emphasised the university's role in supporting government entities through training that merges academic theory with practical application. He described the programme as an effective collaboration between academia and government, preparing trainers who can positively impact their workplaces.
Dr. Asmaa Nasiri from the Centre for Continuing Education explained that the programme aligned with current training standards and addressed media professionals' specific needs. Participants gained hands-on experience by developing training modules based on real workplace challenges.
Graduates presented projects covering topics like podcast production, budgeting, and event management. Upon completion, they received official certification, qualifying them to lead training initiatives within SGMB and other government entities.
