SEWA Invites Applications For Scholarships For The 2025-2026 Academic Year
The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has opened registration for scholarships aimed at outstanding high school students. These scholarships are for the 2025-2026 academic year at the University of Sharjah and the American University of Sharjah. This initiative is under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for these scholarships from 23rd June to 31st July 2025 through SEWA's website. Amna Al Owais, Director of the Scholarship Programme at SEWA, highlighted that this effort reflects SEWA's dedication to nurturing future leaders by equipping them with essential knowledge and skills.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must hold a Sharjah registration certificate or be children of female citizens or religious figures associated with the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs. Additionally, candidates should have graduated high school in the current year with a minimum GPA of 85 percent.
Applicants must also secure admission to either the University of Sharjah or the American University of Sharjah. Al Owais emphasised that these scholarships aim to support education and develop national competencies while easing financial burdens on families.
Prospective students interested in applying should visit SEWA's official website to access comprehensive information about application requirements, necessary documents, and deadlines. The application process involves completing an online form and submitting all required documents before the deadline.
Al Owais reiterated SEWA's commitment to fostering a knowledge-based society by supporting students in pursuing higher education in fields aligned with labour market demands. This initiative is part of SEWA's broader vision for sustainable development and prosperity.
This scholarship programme not only invests in individual futures but also contributes to building a skilled workforce that meets evolving industry needs. By supporting education, SEWA aims to create opportunities for young people to excel academically and professionally.
