SEWA Enhances Reliability Of Al Rahmaniya Pressure Reduction Station Through Comprehensive Maintenance

The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has recently completed significant maintenance work at the Al Rahmaniya pressure reduction station. This facility is a vital component of Sharjah's natural gas network. The maintenance aimed to boost the station's operational reliability from 50% to 100%. This was achieved by servicing and reactivating the backup unit, ensuring a continuous supply of natural gas across various sectors.

Engineer Ibrahim Al Balghouni, who leads SEWA's Natural Gas Department, highlighted the comprehensive nature of the maintenance activities. These included detailed inspections and servicing of operational systems and equipment. Additionally, tests were conducted on control and pressure systems, alongside checks on pipeline integrity and safety valves. Such measures are crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

SEWA Completes Al Rahmaniya Station Maintenance

The Al Rahmaniya station plays a strategic role in regulating natural gas pressure before distribution throughout the emirate. Regular maintenance is essential to ensure efficient and stable operations within the entire gas network. This underscores the importance of periodic checks to maintain optimal performance levels.

SEWA's technical teams are dedicated to ongoing regular and preventive maintenance across all gas stations. This commitment aligns with SEWA’s vision to provide reliable services that cater to Sharjah’s growing population needs. By ensuring these facilities operate smoothly, SEWA supports both residential and commercial energy demands effectively.

Al Balghouni emphasized that several approved preventive measures were implemented during this maintenance phase. These steps are designed to keep the station functioning at its best, reflecting SEWA’s dedication to maintaining high service standards while meeting increasing energy requirements in Sharjah.

This initiative by SEWA not only enhances safety but also ensures efficiency in Sharjah’s natural gas network. By focusing on key infrastructure like the Al Rahmaniya station, SEWA demonstrates its commitment to delivering uninterrupted energy supplies while adhering to stringent safety protocols.
