Enhanced Services And Development Works Support Worshippers At Masjid Al-Qiblatain During Ramadan

During the sacred month of Ramadan, worshippers and visitors to Medina's significant historical mosques are experiencing enhanced services aimed at fostering a serene environment for their religious practices. Among these mosques, Masjid Al-Qiblatain stands out, not only for its historical significance of having "two directions" but also for the comprehensive attention it receives. Located about five kilometers west of the Prophet’s Mosque, this site draws large numbers of individuals daily, who benefit from a variety of services.

These services encompass crowd management, distribution of iftar and water, guidance, and security measures, ensuring that the spiritual atmosphere is maintained. The Saudi News Agency (SPA) photographers have documented moments of fasting individuals gathering around iftar banquets at Masjid Al-Qiblatain. This mosque has been under development for months as part of the ambitious "Al-Qiblatain Cultural Center" initiative led by the Al Madinah Region Development Authority.

The project spans an area of 12,000 square meters and aims to expand the mosque and its facilities to support up to 3,000 worshippers. It includes the construction of an 8,100-square-meter pedestrian bridge alongside various services such as a 600-square-meter cultural center, exhibition halls, and multi-purpose sales outlets. A significant enhancement to the area's infrastructure is the recently inaugurated Qiblatain Tunnel, which has notably improved traffic flow towards Madinah's western regions.

This initiative not only enriches the spiritual experience for visitors and worshippers but also contributes to the cultural and infrastructural development of Madinah. The Al-Qiblatain Cultural Center project is a testament to the dedication towards preserving religious heritage while accommodating the needs of contemporary society.
