Serbia Recognises Ahmed Naser Al Raisi With Prestigious Jakov Nenadović Star Award
Major General Dr. Ahmed Naser Al Raisi, President of INTERPOL, has been honoured with the "Jakov Nenadović Star" by Serbia. This is the highest security accolade from the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The award was presented by Ivica Dačić, Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs, during a ceremony at the 93rd INTERPOL General Assembly in Marrakesh, Morocco.
This esteemed medal is among Serbia's top national honours. It acknowledges global leaders who have made significant contributions to international security and cooperation with Serbian law enforcement. The award also highlights efforts to combat organised crime effectively.

The Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasised that this recognition reflects Serbia’s deep appreciation for Major General Al Raisi’s leadership at INTERPOL. INTERPOL is the largest international police organisation, with 196 member countries and over a century of promoting collective security and international collaboration.
Ivica Dačić commended Dr. Al Raisi for his dedication to enhancing relations between INTERPOL and Serbia. He praised his initiatives aimed at boosting global law enforcement cooperation amidst evolving security challenges.
