Self Assessment Platform Empowers Over 117,000 Establishments To Improve Compliance In Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development is enhancing compliance in Saudi Arabia's labour market using digital tools, particularly the Self Assessment Platform. This platform aims to boost regulatory understanding among private sector businesses, allowing them to independently address compliance issues. This reduces violations and strengthens contractual integrity according to the Labour Law and its regulations.

Employers can log into the platform using their registered details, update profiles, and complete an assessment form based on approved standards. They receive a detailed compliance report showing performance levels, areas needing improvement, and necessary corrective actions. Establishments can reassess themselves after making corrections, with unlimited attempts allowed.

Enhancing Compliance with Self Assessment Platform

The platform reflects the ministry’s strategy to create innovative regulatory tools that help employers measure their legislative compliance and address gaps through an automated, accurate mechanism. This approach aims to foster a stable work environment while transforming the ministry's relationship with the private sector from oversight to empowerment.

Since its inception, over 117,000 establishments have used the platform for assessments in key areas like contract documentation, wage protection, training and rehabilitation, employment of persons with disabilities, leave entitlements, and workplace hazard prevention. This expansion highlights the ministry’s dedication to achieving comprehensive compliance and improving regulatory experiences.

The initiative aligns with the ministry's strategic goal of enhancing employer and worker compliance while strengthening partnerships with the private sector. It also supports Saudi Vision 2030 by boosting the competitiveness and attractiveness of Saudi Arabia's labour market through a cohesive legislative and digital framework.

The platform offers various enabling services such as "interactive training" to assist establishments in applying evaluation mechanisms. An "interactive guide" provides regularly updated regulatory provisions and decisions. These features contribute to making compliance a continuous practice rather than a seasonal task.

This digital solution not only improves the work environment but also fosters economic empowerment by advancing competitiveness in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives. The ministry emphasizes that this initiative strengthens collaborative relationships within the private sector while enhancing overall compliance.
