The discussions also included a briefing on IMCTC’s counter-terrorism initiatives and strategic plans within its member states. The coalition's efforts are designed to achieve specific outcomes that support these nations in their fight against terrorism. The Nigerian minister expressed optimism that these initiatives would showcase IMCTC's commitment to aiding member countries.

Major General Al-Moghedi praised Nigeria's comprehensive approach to addressing extremism at its roots. Such initiatives are vital for preventing radicalisation and supporting rehabilitation for former fighters.

Nigeria has been proactive in raising community awareness about the dangers of extremism. Efforts to encourage interfaith dialogue have been instrumental in combating extremist ideologies. These measures are part of a broader strategy to foster peace and understanding among different religious groups.
