The Ministry of Economy and Tourism recently hosted the second Zero Bureaucracy Forum in Dubai. This event highlighted efforts to enhance digital services and operational efficiency using advanced technologies and AI. The Ministry aims to simplify processes for businesses and individuals, fostering better communication with public and private sectors to achieve the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme's goals.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, stated that the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme reflects the UAE's vision for a future with simplified lives for citizens, residents, and visitors. "The Ministry of Economy and Tourism has made significant progress in achieving the objectives of this leading national programme," he said. These initiatives aim to support economic growth, create a dynamic business environment, and improve quality of life.

Zero Bureaucracy Forum Advances Digital Services

During his opening remarks, Bin Touq noted that the Ministry was among the first to digitise services during the 2020 pandemic. This shift marked a significant reduction in bureaucratic complexities. Within three years, all services became accessible online through the Ministry’s website and smart application. This transition has enhanced efficiency across various business activities.

The forum also showcased presentations on digital services being developed by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism. These efforts aim to improve user experiences by re-engineering existing services. Discussions covered recent updates on the Zero Bureaucracy Programme, highlighting its achievements in enhancing government service competitiveness in the UAE.

The forum underscored the government's commitment to developing innovative solutions tailored to evolving customer needs. This approach contributes to creating seamless experiences while supporting efforts to eliminate bureaucracy across different sectors. The event also explored future visions designed to streamline procedures for citizens, residents, and visitors.

Eng. Mohamed bin Taliah emphasised that phase two of the Zero Bureaucracy Programme targets zero digital bureaucracy by integrating government entities more effectively. This integration aims to streamline procedures, speed up information exchange, and reduce routine tasks in service delivery.

Empowering Individuals Through Leadership

A new initiative called "Excellence in Leadership" was launched at the forum as part of supporting the Zero Bureaucracy Programme. This initiative focuses on enhancing life quality for UAE citizens and residents by empowering them to seize opportunities while boosting productivity and creativity.

This initiative aligns with phase two of the programme, which concentrates on individuals and institutions like SMEs. It aims to build a prosperous society while reinforcing UAE’s dedication to empowering people across all life aspects.

Graduation from Digital Service Design Course

The forum celebrated graduates from a Digital Service Design Course based on UAE Government’s Services Development Methodology 2.0. The course equips participants with skills needed for designing innovative digital services that save time for customers. It prepares professionals capable of supporting zero-bureaucracy initiatives effectively.
