Second Day Of NGSC 2025 In Riyadh Focuses On Esports Future And National Competitions

The New Global Sport Conference (NGSC 2025) continued its second day in Riyadh, aligning with the final week of the 2025 Esports World Cup. Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF), delivered the opening remarks. He emphasised that the conference is a key platform for global esports leaders and experts to collaborate and shape the industry's future.

Prince Faisal highlighted the introduction of the Esports Nations Cup, announced a day earlier, as a significant step forward. This tournament is dedicated to national team competitions, marking esports as a national sport. He noted that this initiative instils pride in players representing their countries and enhances fans' experiences as they support their favourite teams and athletes.

Saudi Arabia is swiftly developing an integrated esports ecosystem, having launched 36 strategic initiatives. These initiatives aim to create promising opportunities across various sectors. Prince Faisal stressed that esports has become a vital economic driver, supporting tourism and culture in the Kingdom.

The Kingdom has successfully hosted summer events featuring over 25 electronic games, drawing significant public participation and notable family attendance. This success underscores esports' role in boosting tourism and cultural engagement within Saudi Arabia.

Prince Faisal reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to investing in esports and strengthening its sustainable infrastructure. This dedication aims to secure a prosperous future for the sector.
