SEC Reviews Positive Outcomes From ACRES 2025 Exhibition And Future Plans For GITEX
The Executive Council of Sharjah, led by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, convened at the Ruler’s Office. H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi was also present. The meeting focused on public policies and plans to enhance Sharjah's standing in various sectors.
During the session, a comprehensive report on the 10th edition of the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (ACRES 2025) was presented. The event saw significant growth, with transactions reaching 2,505 and deals valued at AED4.4 billion. This marked a notable improvement in performance compared to previous years.
The exhibition attracted over 110 real estate companies from both local and international markets. More than 15,000 visitors attended, engaging with upwards of 30 speakers who conducted training workshops and awareness programmes. The event highlighted the sector's vibrancy and potential for future growth.
A key factor contributing to the exhibition's success was the Executive Council’s decision to halve sale and purchase fees during the event. This move encouraged more transactions and showcased Sharjah's commitment to fostering a favourable business environment.
The council also examined the participation guide for Sharjah Government’s involvement in GITEX 2025. This upcoming exhibition will focus on innovations supporting digital transformation and future technological advancements across various sectors.
Key themes for GITEX 2025 include digital government services, data and artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, smart systems, information security, and digital empowerment. These areas are crucial for aligning with future technological trends.
Sharjah's Continued Presence at GITEX
Sharjah has maintained a strong presence at past GITEX editions. The emirate's pavilion in the most recent edition attracted over 28,000 visitors and facilitated interactions with more than 250 companies. It showcased 18 notable government projects and resulted in four cooperation agreements being signed.
This ongoing participation underscores Sharjah’s commitment to embracing digital innovation and enhancing its technological capabilities across various sectors.
