The SEC's decision aims to establish a comprehensive system for managing health regulations. This includes developing licensing services for health facilities by the Sharjah Health Authority, licensing health professionals, and ensuring quality healthcare services. The provisions apply to local government-affiliated establishments, private facilities, and free zones but exclude federal government health facilities.

In addition to enhancing healthcare services, the decision seeks to promote good governance standards. It emphasises transparency, fairness, and legal accountability within Sharjah's healthcare sector. By laying down legal foundations for practising health professions, it aims to advance these professions while ensuring high-quality care for individuals.

The SEC also reviewed the final accounts report for 2024. This report details financial results, expenditures, and revenues for government departments in Sharjah during that fiscal year. Additionally, His Highness approved a new batch of housing support beneficiaries with a budget of AED335 million. This initiative focuses on urgent cases, reflecting a commitment to enhancing family stability and social cohesion.

The decision encompasses various legal provisions related to the powers of the Sharjah Health Authority. It includes committees on accountability, medical practice, grievances, regulations for practising health activities, conditions for issuing permits and licences, administrative penalties, fees, judicial enforcement, and other legal stipulations.

The SEC extended congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi on this occasion. The council also expressed gratitude to UAE leadership for their continued support in achieving such milestones.
