SEC Approves Guide For Importing Hazardous Petroleum Materials In Sharjah
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, chaired the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) meeting held at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office on Tuesday. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, were also present.
The SEC discussed various topics related to the government’s financial results and updating work procedures to align with the growth in Sharjah's vital sectors. The council reviewed the performance results of the general budget, including outputs of activities and achievement percentages for the second half of 2023 across several sectors.
These sectors include social development, government administration, infrastructure, capital projects, and economic development. The SEC emphasised supporting all parties in achieving the set goals and plans to enhance government work.
The council approved the final account report for 2023. This report reviews the financial results, expenditures, and revenues of the government and independent departments in Sharjah for the fiscal year 2023, comparing them to the previous year.
Guide for Petroleum Hazardous Materials
The SEC adopted a procedures guide for importing, transporting, and storing petroleum hazardous materials. This guide aims to regulate the circulation of petroleum products by clarifying procedures for importing dangerous petroleum products and steps for issuing necessary permits for economic activities.
The guide includes lists of petroleum products, requirements for obtaining permits, and conditions for transportation and storage of hazardous petroleum materials.
