Multi-Agency Coordination Ensures Comfort And Safety For Pilgrims During Hajj

In Makkah and the holy sites, over 1.6 million pilgrims experienced exceptional services, showcasing Saudi Arabia's dedication to high-quality care. This annual event highlighted the country's commitment to providing top-notch services, aligning with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals through an extensive service plan for Hajj.

The Ministry of Health played a crucial role by implementing a comprehensive health strategy. This included preventive, therapeutic, and emergency care measures to ensure pilgrims' well-being. The Ministry of Interior contributed significantly through the Makkah Route Initiative, part of Saudi Vision 2030, which was launched at 12 airports across eight countries.

Ensuring Pilgrim Comfort and Safety During Hajj

The Royal Saudi Air Force collaborated with military, security, and civilian agencies using advanced aircraft for air surveillance and traffic monitoring. These efforts ensured smooth operations during Hajj. Traffic officers also facilitated seamless movement for vehicles and pedestrians at the holy sites.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah began preparations immediately after last year's season. They planned and executed logistics from pilgrims' arrival in Makkah to their movements in Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, and during rituals like stoning and Tawaf Al-Ifadah. Over 62,000 field visits were conducted to inspect accommodations for compliance with standards.

The General Directorate of Passports provided mobile e-services teams to verify identities of missing pilgrims at guidance centers and hospitals. They swiftly addressed reports from partner agencies to ensure all pilgrims were accounted for.

Religious Guidance and Youth Involvement

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs intensified its efforts through awareness activities during Hajj. It deployed 20 mobile booths across holy sites and activated video call services with scholars for religious guidance. Additionally, 350 electronic screens were used for real-time messaging.

Saudi youth actively participated in volunteer initiatives such as medical assistance, crowd management at the Grand Mosque, and guiding pilgrims to facilitate smooth ritual performances. Their involvement was crucial in maintaining order and ensuring a peaceful experience for all attendees.

Translation Services

The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque collaborated with the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque to translate the Arafah Day sermon into 35 languages. This effort expanded access to religious teachings during this significant event.

This remarkable achievement highlights Saudi Arabia's leadership in serving Islam and Muslims worldwide. The Kingdom's dedication ensures that pilgrims experience a spiritual journey filled with tranquility and compassion while maintaining professionalism that reflects its honorable image in serving visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
