SDRPY Lays Foundation Stone For New Model School To Enhance Education In Hadhramaut

The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has initiated the construction of a new model school in Al-Mukalla District, Hadhramaut Governorate. This initiative aims to improve educational access in the area. The school will have 24 classrooms and modern facilities, including offices and staff rooms. SDRPY has previously established over 30 such schools across Yemen, all featuring advanced infrastructure and laboratories for chemistry and computer science.

SDRPY's commitment to enhancing education is evident through these efforts, which aim to provide a high-quality learning environment that fosters knowledge, skill development, and innovation. A delegation from SDRPY's Hadhramaut office recently visited several ongoing projects to evaluate their progress. Among these was the expansion and rehabilitation project of Al-Abr Road.

New Model School Launched in Hadhramaut

The first phase of the Al-Abr Road project, covering 50 kilometers, is complete. Work on the second phase, spanning 40 kilometers, is currently underway. The delegation also reviewed the rehabilitation project at Al-Wadiah Border Port. This project includes constructing new buildings, refurbishing existing ones, upgrading roads and surveillance systems, and improving water and energy supplies to enhance services at the crossing.

In addition to these infrastructure projects, the team inspected the construction site of Al-Sabban Model School in Sayun District. They assessed progress on its development and outfitting. SDRPY's efforts extend beyond education; they have implemented 265 development projects across various Yemeni governorates.

These projects cover eight critical sectors: education, health, transportation, energy, water, agriculture and fisheries, development programs, and government capacity enhancement. SDRPY's initiatives reflect a comprehensive approach to fostering growth and stability in Yemen by addressing diverse needs across these sectors.

By focusing on such varied areas of development, SDRPY aims to create sustainable improvements that benefit communities throughout Yemen. Their ongoing commitment highlights the importance of coordinated efforts in rebuilding essential infrastructure and services in regions affected by conflict.

The program's dedication to advancing education through modern facilities underscores its role in shaping a brighter future for Yemeni students. By investing in quality learning environments equipped with necessary resources, SDRPY supports educational advancement as a cornerstone for long-term development.
