SDRPY Sets Foundation For Medical College At Taiz University To Elevate Yemen Healthcare

The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has initiated a significant project at Taiz University, laying the foundation stone for a new Medical College. This initiative aims to enhance higher education and create a conducive environment for students, enabling them to contribute effectively to community development and scientific advancement.

The project is part of SDRPY's ongoing efforts to support higher and technical education and vocational training in Yemen. It includes the construction and equipping of three colleges: medicine, pharmacy, and nursing. These colleges are expected to strengthen the specialized scientific aspect of Taiz University and prepare capable personnel to support Yemen's health sector.

Additionally, the project aims to address the shortage of medical personnel, improve the quality of healthcare services, and enhance scientific research. By providing qualified medical personnel, the initiative seeks to deliver high-quality healthcare services across Yemen.

SDRPY supports the educational sector in Yemen through 52 development projects and initiatives. These have included supporting the University of Aden with several projects, such as equipping 28 laboratories in the college of pharmacy and the forensic laboratory in the college of law, as well as the development and expansion of Saba University.

These projects have contributed to providing a comprehensive educational environment that encourages research, innovation, and creativity. SDRPY's efforts aim to foster an environment where students can thrive academically and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

SDRPY has provided 229 development projects and initiatives, serving the Yemeni people in various key sectors. These sectors include education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, capacity building, support for the Yemeni government, and development programs.

The program's comprehensive approach ensures that multiple aspects of Yemeni society benefit from these initiatives. By addressing critical needs across various sectors, SDRPY aims to contribute to the overall development and stability of Yemen.
