SDAIA Enhances Makkah Route Initiative With Technical Services At 11 International Airports

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has upgraded 11 international airports across seven countries for the Makkah Route Initiative in 1446 AH. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Interior with various government partners, uses advanced digital technologies driven by data and AI. The aim is to facilitate seamless travel for pilgrims from their home countries to Saudi Arabia and back.

SDAIA's technical team ensures smooth operations at these airports by continuously monitoring systems and workstations linked to the initiative. They provide ongoing technical support to address any issues, maintaining high performance levels. This proactive approach guarantees uninterrupted processes and operational continuity.

SDAIA Supports Makkah Route Initiative at Airports

To enhance services for pilgrims, SDAIA has equipped biometric registration stations at these airports with cutting-edge technology. Mobile workstations have also been deployed to offer integrated services. The technical infrastructure has been prepared to meet high standards, ensuring all entry points are ready for swift procedure completion.

Multiple high-availability tests were conducted on all systems and devices to confirm their efficiency. SDAIA completed necessary integrations with relevant entities, ensuring procedural integration and quick registration of pilgrims' biometric data. This ensures optimal speed and efficiency in processing.

This year's Hajj efforts by SDAIA focus on integrating with all relevant government sectors to deliver top-notch services to pilgrims. These efforts align with the directives of Saudi Arabia's leadership, which prioritises serving pilgrims effectively as part of the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030.

SDAIA's commitment includes supporting the Makkah Route Initiative annually. By leveraging data and AI, they aim to ensure that pilgrims experience ease, comfort, and peace during their journey. Continuous improvements in technology play a crucial role in achieving this goal.

The authority's dedication reflects the Kingdom's emphasis on enhancing pilgrim experiences through innovative solutions. By focusing on seamless travel procedures, SDAIA contributes significantly to the overall success of the initiative.
