SDAIA Highlights Saudi Arabia's Role In Shaping Smart Cities At Barcelona Expo

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) is set to showcase Saudi Arabia's global position in data and AI technologies at the Smart City Expo World Congress. This event, taking place from November 5-7 in Barcelona, Spain, will see SDAIA participating as a global partner for the second year. The congress is a key international platform for smart city and urban innovation discussions.

At the congress, SDAIA aims to highlight Saudi Arabia's advancements in data and AI, particularly its leadership in global rankings. The event will attract over 25,000 attendees and feature more than 1,100 exhibitors. SDAIA's participation underscores its commitment to knowledge exchange with over 600 speakers, including government leaders, company executives, and academics from more than 850 cities across 130 countries.

SDAIA's involvement aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. The authority plans to engage with international participants in the smart city sector. Through this engagement, SDAIA will emphasize projects that contribute to shaping future urban life using data and AI technologies.

Visitors to the SDAIA pavilion can explore national projects through innovative products designed for smart cities. Among these are Eyenai, an AI-driven medical solution detecting diabetic retinopathy, and SauTech, which converts speech to text in classical Arabic and regional dialects. These initiatives demonstrate Saudi Arabia's strides in integrating AI into everyday solutions.

The pavilion will also highlight SDAIA's efforts in promoting smart cities through various programs. These include the Smart City Accelerator Program, the Global Smart Cities Forum, and the Global AI Summit. Each initiative reflects SDAIA's dedication to advancing smart city concepts within Saudi Arabia and beyond.
